NICK CLEGG is in great danger of losing his seat in Sheffield Hallam, say bookmakers William Hill.

The prediction comes after a flurry of bets of up to £400 a time for Labour to take the constituency forced the Lib Dem leader's odds to lengthen dramatically.

'Mr Clegg was hot favourite at 1/3, but his odds have now lengthened to 1/2 as Labour, who were once as long as 7/1 to capture the seat, have been slashed to 6/4, with one client gambling £400 on them to win the seat' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.'Political punters are betting Mr Clegg will be clogged and cleared out of Parliament.'

And Mr Clegg has been lengthened still to be Lib Dem leader on January 1, 2016 from 7/4 to 9/4. He is 1/3 to have left the post by then.

NICK CLEGG is 9/1 with Hills to be voted the Best performing leader in Thursday's 7 Leader TV Debate - but just 7/2 to be the Worst.

'We are making two markets on the 7 Leader Debates - who will be voted the Best performer, and who will be voted the Worst in the ComRes Instant poll to be announced shortly afterwards' said Graham Sharpe.
