VINTAGE car owners will be able to tour with fellow motor enthusiasts and raise money for charity next month.

The Wye Run will start at Chepstow Garden Centre in Pwllmeyric and will be the twelfth run organised by the Chepstow Rotary Club.

Organisers said the route has been carefully selected to use lesser known scenic routes through the Wye Valley, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons.

It is being held from 9am on Saturday, May 2, but entrants should arrive at the garden centre at 8.30am ready for the start.

Drivers and their passengers are encouraged to take their own picnic and enjoy the view wherever they want to stop along the route.

The club said it is aiming to provide a memorable and leisurely drive through the countryside and give people with a sight of interesting cars while raising money for their supported charities.

There is opportunity for about 80 vintage cars to take part.

The entry fee is £25 for each car. For that, drivers will receive full route instructions and a Monte Carlo-style rally plaque.
