STARS of the silver screen are to attend a comic con event in Newport in August.

Geekedfest has been set up by Shane Jordan, 30, and Chris Muscat, 28, and is at the Newport Centre on August 8 and 9.

The event will allow fans to meet the likes of Ross Mullen, who played the white walker in Game of Thrones, and John Challis, better known as Boycey from Only Fools and Horses.

Dr Who writer James Moran will also appear and three American wrestlers, who will be named soon.

Jordan, who runs Sin City Comics in Cwmbran, said: “The more tickets we sell, the more celebrities we can bring in. There’s a real buzz about it all.”
