A CHARITY is appealing for support in securing funding to convert a club in Abercarn into a modern facility for community projects.
New Life Christian Church is a charity focused on bringing the community together based in the West End, Abercarn.
The church runs the Nant Pennar Project which started in July 2014 with the purchase of the Nant Pennar Working Men's Club. The vision is to convert the building into a modern, well equipped facility that would be used as a base for community projects.
The volunteer group has applied to the Aviva Community Fund to secure funding and is asking for residents’ votes.
You can go to www.community-fund.aviva.co.uk to register your email and then give in your 10 votes, but voting closes this Saturday, May 30.
If you want more info on the project, call Lois Greenhalgh on 07951 301402.
