IN RESPONSE to Mr Morgan of Risca regarding the issue of ID cards as a preventative measure in the fight against terrorism, I fear that horse has long bolted.
In this ultra-technological age, identity cards would soon be usurped.
We must stem this evil flow of terror at its source by military intervention in Libya, Syria and Iraq, while attempting to understand and deal with the reasons why a growing number of our own population are joining this abominable cult.
In the majority of cases, these recruits are known to the security services and, in my personal view, should never be allowed to return to the UK.
