I see Caerphilly County Borough Councillors Rhianon Passmore and Hefin David have been selected as the Labour Party candidates for Islwyn and Caerphilly in the upcoming Assembly election. This will give the people a chance to ask both candidates why they are willing to increase the council wage and pension bill to pay the living wage, when most Labour run councils pay the normal rate.
People can ask why they voted against a cinema for Bargoed and why they voted for Waste Transfer Station less that a mile from Ystrad Mynach hospital. Questions about the running of Caerphilly council can’t be dodged as other Labour candidates have.
