A NEWPORT man has raised nearly £800 with a head shave in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Scott Foster, 22, from Lliswerry, had his head shaved for the charity as part of their Brave the Shave campaign on Friday at the Neyaz Crib barber shop on Chepstow Road.

The fundraiser, which included a cup cake sale, raised £795 but there is still more money coming in.

Mr Foster said: "It's going very well - I'm hoping in the next couple of days to reach £850. I am over the moon with it.

"I was very pleased as I wasn't expecting this much. I'm buzzing."

He added: "The event was perfect - a lot of my family were there and members of the public came in to put money in the bucket. My sister Coral had a go at shaving my head and my best friend Nathan did before my barber Neyaz finished the job."
