A FORMER long-serving supervisor officially opened the doors of Lloyds Pharmacy in Cwmbran after the branch underwent a radical transformation.

Coral Rogers, who worked at the store for 50 years, cut the ribbon at the official reopening on Friday.

Vicky Cornelius, pharmacy manager, said: “We’re excited by our transformation, we want our new store to become the destination of choice for customers looking for expert health advice.

“Our knowledgeable eight-strong team will be on hand to provide customers with individual expertise on skin health, helping those with skin conditions to effectively manage their condition with product selection support and application techniques.”

Pain management is an area where the Cwmbran pharmacy team will now offer enhanced support. Results from Lloyds Pharmacy’s pain control service show that 46 per cent of customers have experienced improved pain after just four weeks of taking pharmacist’s advice.

The communitypharmacy located in Maendy Square is the latest of 350 stores of more than 350 stores to complete the be revamped transformation. The steady rollout of revamped stores is set to continue in 2015, with 200 more planned before the end of the year, taking the total to more than 550.
