TORFAEN Friends of the Earth held a Save the Bee stall at B&Q Cwmbran on September 19.
Torfaen Friends of the Earth coordinator, Carole Jacob, explained that Wales has a moratorium on the use of bee killing pesticide, neonicotinoids.
During the day, she collected 64 signatures on a petition that is calling for MPs to support the current ban on neonicotinoids and expanding it to include all crops.
Torfaen MP, Nick Thomas-Symonds visited the stall to show his support.
She added: “We would like to thank the manager and staff at B&Q Cwmbran for allowing us to use their premises and for the goodwill they extended towards us.
“The company are already signed up to an agreement not to sell bee killing pesticides.”
