A WOMAN accused of grooming a schoolboy denied being "obsessed" with the 15-year-old.

Karen Seldon, 44, was left "angry and in disbelief" when the schoolboy accused her of sending him pictures of her breasts and backside on Facebook.

Seldon is accused of having had sex twice after sending him the message: "Let's get naughty."

But Seldon denies luring the boy to her home for sex.

She told Newport Crown Court she had no idea how her alleged victim managed to describe a small tattoo on her lower back - and denied sending a picture of it to him over social media.

Prosecutor Suzanne Evans questioned Seldon about her condition on the night she was alleged to have had sex with the boy - and was confronte by his angry mother.

She denied being "heavily intoxicated, and stumbling around."

Seldon said: "I'd drunk three quarter of a bottle of rose wine. It wasn't unusual for a Friday night.

"I was just in shock and I was upset. I couldn't believe what had happened."

Seldon denies the affair by saying it was just a "sexual fantasy" of the schoolboy to boast to his friends.

When asked if she had become obsessed or infatuated with the teenager, she replied: "No".

Prosecutor Miss Thomas told how Seldon contacted the schoolboy on Facebook to seduce him into sex - and began sending him photos of her "breasts and bottom".

She said: "She asked him whether he liked role playing and asked him to send pictures of himself.

"She sent him a message saying: "Let's get naughty" and asked him to come to her house.

"She took him into the living room and told him that she wanted him."

Seldon is accused of four charges relating to sexual activity with a minor - two of sexually touching him, one of oral sex and one of full sex.

Newport Crown Court heard that on a second time she drove up to him in her car and kissed him.

The court heard the boy's mother and aunt confronted Seldon about the relationship. Miss Thomas said: "There was a great deal of shouting and scuffling while the women were arguing."

The boy told the police Seldon had forced him into the car. But he later admitted he "fully consented" to sex.

He told police Seldon as being "obsessed" with him for a long time. He admitted he was called a "lad" and a "legend" after telling his friends.

Defence barrister James Evans accused the boy in cross examination of making up the accusations in order to show off to his friends.

He said: "Everything you told the police that day about your sexual conquest of Karen Seldon was just your sexual fantasies about her. Nothing actually happened.

"It's something you have fantasies about, things you told your friends to look like a lad and a legend amongst your little peer group, that is what it's really about."

Seldon was arrested and denied having any sexual activity with the boy and she denied sending him Facebook messages.

The court heard the boy claimed to have deactivated his account after his mother found out.

The boy's mother claimed to have found out that her son was with Seldon after his friend texted her.

She told how she found Seldon when she was allegedly with her son. She said: "She was wearing a black and white dress that barely covered her bottom.

"She asked me if she could put some clothes on so I gave her a throw and said to her that she didn't mind flashing her private parts to my son.

"I asked her what she was doing with my 15-year-old son and she said she was sorry and had made a mistake."

The case at Newport Crown Court continues.
