POLICE have appealed for information after a woman was reportedly attacked by another woman as she walked across George Street Bridge in Newport.

The alleged attacker is described as having blonde hair in pony tail, is of medium build, around five feet seven inches tall and was wearing a grey round neck sweatshirt, jogging bottoms and white trainers.

The incident happened on Friday at around 7.20pm, after which she walked back towards the Maindee area with an Asian man who was wearing dark clothing.
