MORE than a hundred Scuba diving Santa’s are expected to don their festive costumes and complete a charity dive near Chepstow next month.

The fundraiser, held at the National Diving and Activity Centre (NDAC) at Tidenham, will be the ninth annual dive.

Since 2007 the event, organised by founder Lloyd Watkin has raised over £20,000 for the RNLI and last year also helped DDRC Healthcare-a hyperbaric medical facility previously known as the Diving Diseases Research Centre and specialists in diving health.

This year Scuba Santas are aiming to attract between 100 and 200 Scuba Santas and to raise well over £2,000 for the two charities.

The event takes place between 9am and 4pm on December 5 with registration taking place between 9am and 11am. The dive itself takes place between midday and 12.45pm.
