Refuse fires were 'deliberate'
REFUSE was deliberately set on fire in the terraces of the playing fields at Eugene Cross Park in Ebbw Vale last night.
A crew from Brynmawr Fire Station was called to the park just after 8.30pm. In a separate incident, refuse was deliberately set on fire near the monument on Folly Road in Trevethin, Pontypool at 9.21pm. A crew from New Inn put out the fire. The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said both fires were 'deliberately lit.'
