Gwent Police have named the man who died after he was stabbed in Newport on Tuesday night as Rhys Jones, 36.
He was from the city.

A MURDER investigation has been launched after a 36-year-old man was stabbed to death in Newport last night.
The man, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the Royal Gwent Hospital following the incident at an address in Clarence Place.
A 28-year-old man, who also received stab wounds, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Gwent Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

UPDATE: 9.50AM
HOMELESS charity Solas have confirmed the "serious incident" took place at their Clarence Place service last night.
A Solas spokesman said: "Our priority is ensuring that other residents and staff are supported after the incident.
"Police are conducting investigations which we are assisting with and we ask that the privacy of residents, many of whom are vulnerable, is respected."
Clarence Place is a 20 bed scheme providing accommodation and support to people with longer term mental health and substance misuse issues.
A police statement is imminent.

TWO people have been taken to hospital after what police said is a "serious incident" on Clarence Place in Newport.
Officers were seen entering and leaving a doorway between the Curry on the Curve take away and the cre8 shop last night, and cordoned it off, along with a stretch further down the pavement.
At the height of the incident at about 8.45pm there were nine emergency service vehicles outside the flat.

UPDATE, 11.17pm:
A Wales Ambulance Service spokesman said they were called to the address after reports were received of a woman being stabbed at 8.01pm.
He said one person had suffered a cardiac arrest and another suffered head injuries. They were both taken by ambulance to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.
He confirmed there had been two ambulances and two rapid response vehicles sent to Clarence Place.
