Cwmbran technology firm Siphon Networks has been ranked in the top third of the Deloitte 2015 Technology Fast 500 EMEA.

This ranking follows the company's success in being ranked 23rd in the 2015 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50.

The 2015 Technology Fast 500 EMEA programme recognises technology companies which have achieved the fastest rates of revenue growth in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa during the past four years.

The Cwmbran–based solutions provider of advanced voice and unified communications technology secured a substantial equity investment from Finance Wales in March 2015.

Jerry Mobbs, deputy portfolio manager at Finance Wales, which has supported Siphon Networks, said: “Deloitte’s high-profile UK Technology Fast 50 and Technology FAST 500 programmes celebrate the achievements of fast-growing technology companies in a variety of sectors. Being recognised in both is a significant achievement for Siphon and clear recognition of its innovative technology and ambitious, long-term drive for growth.”

Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over the last four years. During this period, Siphon grew by 644 per cent.

Coming in at 148, Siphon ranked comfortably within the top third among the 500 EMEA winners.

David Cobb, Deloitte UK and partner in charge of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA programme, said: “Securing a position in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is an impressive feat, especially given the highly competitive and rapidly changing environment of the technology industry.

“We congratulate SIPHON on being among the most dynamic and successful technology companies in the region.”

Steve Harris, co-founder and managing director of Siphon, said: “Being recognised as one of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa is a significant milestone for us, especially as we look to take steps to expand into new European markets.”

Siphon was founded in the UK in 2009 and is based at Llantarnam Park in Cwmbran.
