A GROUP of young adults and children unveiled a mosaic they created drawing inspiration from their own mental health experiences.
Newport Mind and the Can Do Project from Leonard Cheshire Disability charity have worked over coming months to support a group made up of people aged from 11 to 25-years-old.
The group have been encouraged to give their opinions on what they have experienced from their own mental health, to raise awareness and challenge stigma.
The project was inspired by the old Chartist mural near John Frost Square.
Changing Minds Project Worker for Newport Mind, Luke Jones, said: "It was a great feeling finally seeing the mosaic made by young people with Newport Mind and the Can Do Project from Leonard Cheshire Disability on show at the Riverfront art exhibition.
"Some of the young people who created the artwork were very excited to see it on display. All of them should be proud of the uplifting messages they have put across about mental health and disability in young people in a visual and eye catching way.
"I hope as many members of the community as possible will be able to catch a glimpse of the mosaic while it remains in its current location at the Riverfront in December."
