Pensioner denies 12 counts of historic sex offences
A NEWPORT pensioner has denied 12 counts of indecent assault against a child dating back to the 1970s.
Alan Davies, of Stockton Road, appeared in Newport Crown Court today for a plea and case management hearing.
The 74-year-old, wearing a grey hooded tracksuit and aided by a Zimmer frame, pleaded not guilty to all historical charges and will stand trial in the same venue on May 3.
All counts relate to the same child, who cannot be named due to legal reasons.
