Newport man found with screwdriver and chisel arrested for "going equipped for theft" on Risca Road in Newport
A 38-YEAR-OLD man from Newport has been arrested for going equipped for theft
At around 2.50am this morning, Friday, officers saw a man acting suspiciously on Risca Road in Newport.
When police stopped him, he was found in possession of a screwdriver and chisel.
He was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft.
Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious is asked to call the police on 101.
