A FLOOD warning has been issued for the River Wye at Monmouth.
The Environment Agency said the river level peaked at four metres at 2am this morning. It is expected to reach between 4.5 and 4.7 metres this morning.
The rowing club underpass gates have been closed. The level at Grosmont was 2.6 metres and rising.
The agency will give an update on the situation at 9am.
The flood alert for the Usk comes as high tide at Newport was expected to reach 7.4 metres at this morning. The previous high tide at Newport reached a level of 6.1 metres at 6:30 PM today.
