A CHARITY music festival will be held in Abergavenny over the bank holiday.

The fourth annual KAMFEST 4.0 The Audio Imagineairum is being held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and takes place at Nevill Hall Social Club, within the grounds of Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny.

The rock festival will feature performances from five piece rock and pop band ‘JFK’ (Just For Kicks) with covers ranging from Status Quo to Abba, ‘KILL 66’ and Kamikazee Millionaires a hard rock cover band.

The not-for-profit event is being organised by Gwent band the Kamikaze Millionaires. Lead singer Robert Antell said the band launched the event after realising that Abergavenny lacked its own rock festival.

Mr Antell, 43, of Ebbw Vale said: “The response has been fantastic. The festival just continues to get bigger and better with every passing year.”

Charities that have benefited in the past include LATCH and Nevill Hall Hospital’s baby care unit.

A raffle will also be held on the night with prizes that include VIP passes to Ebbw Vale’s annual Steel House Festival.

The event takes place from 6.30pm on April 30.
