A CHEPSTOW business has pledged £10,000 in support of its chosen charity for the third year running.

Basepoint Chepstow has promised £10,000 via match funding to St David’s Hospice Care, which provides support to people with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

The support that St David’s provides reportedly costs more than £7.5 million per annum, meaning the contributions from the local community is vital to keep their work going.

Basepoint Business Centres is owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant-making charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need.

In the last two years, the Chepstow branch has raised money for the charity through various events such as the Transporter Bridge Abseil in Newport, the Dalmatian Bike Ride, and the Severn Bridge Half Marathon.

Chloe Geoghegan, assistant manager at Basepoint Chepstow, said: “Basepoint Chepstow is really proud to be working alongside St David’s once again this year and joining in with some of the exciting fundraising events they have planned. If last year is anything to go by, we have a lot to look forward to.”
