Two lanes are still closed and there is queuing traffic for six miles on the M4 eastbound from J27 Highcross.

Travel time is estimated at 60 minutes. Congestion to J29 A48(M).

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said initial reports said the crash involved six vehicles.

They have taken two people to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. One person has suffered severe but not life threatening injuries and another person suffered minor injuries.

Lanes one and two are closed between the exit and entry slip roads.

TWO lanes are currently closed on the M4 eatbound in Newport between J27 and J28 after a multi-vehicle accident.

There is queuing traffic on M4 eastbound at J27, Highcross until to J29 A48(M).
