A WALLET and jacket belonging to the late son of a Newport family was stolen during a burglary at their home.
The burglary took place on Monday, April 25 sometime between 7.30am and 7.30pm, at a house on Mendalgief Road.
The offender/offenders used a stone to smash a window to gain entry to the house.
Stolen from the house was a laptop, black iPhone 4 and items which belonged to the victim’s son who passed away.
These were a leather wallet containing money and a dark green Barbour wax jacket.
