THE trial of a man charged with the murder of a Newport woman has been deferred while police examine 70,000 pages of phone data.
Peter Morgan, 53, of Abergavenny is accused of murdering Georgina Symonds. Cardiff Crown Court was told today that the case would not be ready to hear in June as intended because of the amount of data involved.
He will not face trial until at least October, but could be as late as January 2017. Morgan has been remanded in custody until Jan 31 2017.
