RODNEY Parade was filled with colour and culture today as an array of different foods took centre stage.
People flocked to the city’s first ever the Big Feast street food and beer festival event despite the overcast weather and occasional spats of rain.
From 11am, the home of the Newport Dragons rugby side witnessed food demonstrations and competitions, cook offs and live music, and enjoyed a variety of stalls including Pretentious Burger, Chef Shack, Hookah Pipes, The Old Hoagie, Science Cream, A Lot of Waffle, Big Fish Little Fish, Meat Bar & Grill, The Bearded Taco, Fancy Fries and many more well-known food establishments.
Among those giving cookery demonstrations was Steve White, head chef of the Ruperra Arms.
He said: "I want to say a big thank you to everyone that turned up today for the Big Feast at Rodney Parade today in the rain."
