RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information to track down the owner of yellow and green budgie found in Newport.
The bird was found on Saturday at around 9.15pm at Bryn Bevan and was taken to an independent local vet.
RSPCA animal collection officer Annie Janes said: “The budgie seems healthy, can fly, and has pink and green tags on his leg, but there is no information on them.
“The budgie is probably an escapee and there is most likely an owner who is out there searching for him.
“Posters have been put up in the area and we’re hoping someone will get in touch.”
Anyone who may have information about this budgie and knows who his owner is should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.
