RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information to track down the owner of an emaciated blue French bulldog which could be from the Newport area.
The RSPCA was alerted that a female dog with welfare concerns had been taken to a veterinary surgery on Thursday July 21.
The dog, which could also be from the Cardiff area, is microchipped and enquiries are being made.
“This poor dog has been described as emaciated by a vet with other health issues," said RSPCA inspector Christine McNeil.
“She is currently in our care and is receiving veterinary treatment. She is slowly recovering but is in a serious condition.”
Anyone with information regarding the dog or her owner is asked to contact the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018
