A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Newport today.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Clarence Place after the pedestrian was struck by a blue Mazda at around 1.25pm.
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police confirmed the woman was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, where “her injuries are not described as life changing or life threatening”.
The road is now open.
