A FIFTH man who was originally charged with conspiracy to kidnap as part of Gwent Police's operation into forced labour has been arrested in Germany.
In May, four men were sentenced to a combined total of 27 years in prison for forced labour, conspiracy to kidnap, four counts of kidnap and numerous counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. They were caught as part of operation imperial which investigated modern day slavery and forced labour.
The fifth man, a 60-year-old man, of Cardiff, was located and arrested in Hamburg, Germany, on August 12 on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap.
He will now be extradited to the UK.
