Firefighters came to the rescue of a sheep that was stuck in a drain in Blaenavon
FIREFIGHTERS from the Blaenavon station flocked to the town's Church Road yesterday evening to rescue a sheep that had been stuck for seven hours after falling three feet into a drain.
The incident was reported at 7.20pm. After the rescue, crew members returned the animal to its field before bleating a retreat.
