AN ABERTILLERY man's music video about unaffordable house prices in a Welsh seaside town has gone down a storm.

Nathan Webb, 35, posted the video on his Facebook page on Friday and since then it has had around 50,000 views.

The video, entitled Penarth (Oh) sees him visit various locations in Penarth such as the pier, Cosmeston Lakes, Windsor Road and even the town's Greggs bakery.

It features Mr Webb driving around the town singing about how it is too expensive for him to live in Penarth.

The song is based on the Coldplay hit song Up and Up.

Mr Webb said: "When I first heard Coldplay's Up & Up I was driving through Penarth and the bit where they sing Up & Up I thought that sounds a bit like they're singing 'in Penarth.'

"We had a tour of the town from some good friends of ours that live there as we had heard good things about it but then realised the property prices were out of our price range for the type of house we would need."

Mr Webb has previously worked as a video producer and is currently a stand up comedian.

He said: "I'm just glad so many people found it as funny as I did making it.

"The best bit for me has been reading some of the comments with one saying they too were convinced Coldplay sang 'in Penarth' on the original."
