  • POLICE officers armed with Tasers stormed the hotel bedroom of an innocent Gwent man in a mix up caused by his name being the same as that of a wanted man.
  • AT LEAST £10,000 worth of goods were stolen, and damage done, after a Newport spa was broken into last weekend. The burglars broke into the Health and Serenity Spa, in Clytha Park Road, via the back door and staff at the spa suspect that the offender – or offenders – must have slept in there, as they found a cup of tea.
  • END of life care training for hospice nurses - and a centre in which it can take place - are being boosted by funding from a scholarship set up in memory of a Gwent man.
