POLICE are warning homeowners to be vigilant after several burglary incidents in Brynmawr.

Officers received reports of an attempted burglary and burglary, which involved break-ins at two properties. 

During the first incident, an attempt was made to break into a home on Lower Coedcae in Nantyglo, Brynmawr on Wednesday, September 21.

The incident took place at around 1.40am but the suspect was disturbed by the homeowner and nothing was stolen from the address.

The second incident involved a break-in on Coalbrookvale Terrace in Nantyglo, Brynmawr sometime between Monday, September 19 and Wednesday, September 21 but nothing was stolen.

Officers have increased patrols in the area and are reminding residents to double check their home security and not leave any windows or doors open.
