Everyone is encouraged to come along dressed for the part to see the film which will be shown at 4pm on a special video wall being installed in the market.

A Hallowe'en trail called 'Where are The Witches?' will take place around High Street in the day leading up to the show. There will be prizes available for youngsters who find all 10 hidden witches - so people are advised to get there in plenty of time.

The Hallowe'en event is produced by Newport NOW, the business-led body which supports and promotes the city centre.

Alan Edwards, chairman of Newport NOW, said: “Newport Market provides such a great venue for events in the heart of the city, so we thought we’d turn it into a haunted cinema for the day to attract families with a themed film that will appeal to all ages. We hope youngsters turn up in costume to create a great Halloween atmosphere.”

Tickets are £4 and are available from The Newsagent inside the Market entrance, www.newportlive.co.uk and Riverfront Arts Centre.
