AN inquest has been opened into the death of a 19-year-old man from who died after falling from the Kingsway Centre car park in Newport.
Nathan “Nat” Patrick Bird, who was from the Gaer area, died after suffering severe brain and spinal injuries on Monday.
According to DC John Lewis, who was present at the inquest, emergency services were called to the scene at 2.25pm after receiving reports of a person having "jumped or fallen" from the building.
Mr Bird was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, who left the car park at 3.20pm.
The inquest has been adjourned for two months as police enquiries continue.
