WE need your support to help us raise money for St David's Hospice Care.

The 125 Appeal is a fundraising challenge in celebration of the South Wales Argus' 125th anniversary.

As part of the celebrations the Argus is supporting St David’s Hospice Care with the 125 appeal, which challenges people of Gwent and South Wales to raise as much sponsorship as possible by taking part in fundraising challenges. The campaign will run throughout 2017.

We are calling on readers to help raise awareness of our appeal by showing your support in a number of ways.

You can support the appeal by sharing a message about our fundraising on social media using #125Appeal. Tell us your 125 themed fundraising ideas or if you are planning on getting involved. We need you to help us share the amazing work done by fundraisers across the region.

If you can’t commit to fundraising you can donate to our target by sending a donation. There are different options available for you to do this. You can donate £5 to the Argus 125 appeal by texting ARGUS 125 to 70500.

You can also donate a different amount by donating online at the special Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/sdf/SWArgus125.

If you want to get involved in the 125 Appeal then why not get together and create a team of fundraisers to take part in this special appeal that will help the St David's Hospice Care.

We want to recruit 125 fundraising teams to help us raise as much money as we can to support the vital work of the hospice in our community.

Right now St David's Hospice Care is working to provide services including hospice at home care so people can spend their last days at home surrounded by family and friends.

We are especially looking for 125 themed fundraising ideas. Some ideas include a team of five people doing 125 star jumps, riding 125 miles on a bike in one week, walking 12.5 miles or cwtching 125 teddies as quickly as you can.

You can do whatever you like to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
