A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that ambulance crews arrived at the scene, near Llantarnam, Cwmbran, at 2.10pm.
He said: "We sent a rapid response vehicle and two emergency ambulances to the scene and two patients were taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport".
"Injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening," he added.

DELAYS are expected on the A4042 Torfaen Northbound following a two-vehicle crash.
The accident is effecting traffic between the A4051 Croes-y-mwyalch and Newport Road, Llanfrechfa.
One lane is blocked on the A4042 Torfaen and traffic is queuing between Croes-Y-Mwyalch Roundabout and the Crown Roundabout.
