A NEWPORT musical theatre group has undertaken a 10-hour ‘spinathon’ in a bid to raise money for charity.
Members of Newport-based Phoenix Productions yesterday used exercise bikes at PureGym to raise money for its group and St Anne’s Hospice in Newport.
Connor Donovan, who undertook the challenge, said: “It was fulfilling because it’s for a good cause. Hannah Payne, Alice Urrutia and I started at 8am and will do it for 10 hours.”
Luke Connolly, of PureGym, added: “Three people were cycling for 10 hours and another 20 planned to do five hours. Special thanks to the people who have supported it, especially Wagamama.”
