EITHER Lindsey Hayes (Argus 20.2.17) has a weird sense of humour or she enjoys a bad case of sarcasm, when she refers to my letter (15.2.17) as “very amusing”.
She wrongly quotes me as complaining rather than observing, on a “dark” and drizzly Tuesday - the word is “dank”!
Can she explain why only some Newport buses have air-conditioning?-perhaps some passengers are more deserving than others!?
Ventilation is more than a case of “opening all the windows”, it’s a necessary inclusion in the design of public service vehicles. Many Newport householders’ properties include vents, so why not public transport? Many Newport citizens are probably not vulnerable to germs and bugs on buses, but the elderly and youngsters in particular are at risk and need to be protected from all possible harm.
