Following a pancake making demonstration by the Cwmbran hotel’s sous chef Karl Vernon teams of players from Newport County, Newport Gwent Dragons and Pontypool RFC will compete to create the best pancake. The players will be given the basic ingredients for their pancakes as well as chocolate, fruit, sugar and lemon to use for decoration.

They will then be judged on their cooking and pancake flipping skills by the Parkway’s general manger Kerri Jennings.

Newport Gwent Dragons players will be back to defend their title after they ended Pontypool’s two year reign as champions in 2016. The event will take place at the hotel is open to the public from 4.15pm.
