GWENT Police have issued a further statement following the terror attack in London last week.
Assistant Chief Constable Emma Ackland said: "Following the recent events, we're joining forces with local community leaders to re-affirm ties and relationships in our neighbourhoods.
"Our communities are stronger when we stand together and we are determined that we will not allow fear and hatred to divide us.
"Gwent is a very safe place to live and by forging stronger relationships we will make it even stronger.
"Hate and intolerance have no place in our cities and towns and any attempt to create disharmony will not be accepted.
"If anyone has been subjected to abuse or harassment based on their race, ethnicity, nationality, or any other characteristic, please report this to us."
