Man charged with grooming offences after attempting to meet teen
A MAN has been charged with attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming.
Gwent police received a call at around 4.21pm on Saturday, April 1, from a member of the public.
The member of public had detained a man at Cwmbran railway station on suspicion of grooming offences.
A 27-year-old man from the Cwmbran area was arrested, police confirm.
He was charged with attempting to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming and driving whilst disqualified.
He is now remanded in custody.
