A NEWPORT man has been arrested on suspicion of grooming a minor with sexual intent.
The group H Division shared a live video on Facebook of their confrontation with a man they claim to have been speaking to online via a dating website.
The men filming video at at Newport train station claim that they have been speaking to the man for four weeks online.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “At 11.07am this morning, Wednesday 12th April, we received a call from a member of the public at Newport Train Station, saying that an individual had been detained who was believed to be involved in grooming offences.
“A 22-year-old man from the Newport area was arrested on suspicion of grooming a minor with sexual intent. He has been remanded in custody while investigations are ongoing.”
The group also detained a man at Cwmbran railway station on suspicion of grooming offences on Saturday, April 1.
He was later charged with attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming.
