Meet our beautiful Dog of the Week, Diamond.

Diamond is a blue staffie girl, aged at around 3 to 4 years. She arrived at the Newport City Dogs Home as a stray, and she does seem rather surprised, but not displeased at her recent change of circumstances.

She’s a beautiful girl, but it doesn’t seem she has enjoyed any creature comforts anytime recently.

Her fur is dull and itchy, her ears, which should be velvety-soft, are leathery and fur-less, and it’s clear Diamond has had more than her fair share of litters in the past.

But things are looking up for Diamond. A few weeks of tender, love and care, this gorgeous dog will be looking and feeling like a million dollars.

Diamond will be available for adoption from May 9, and if you’d like to meet her please contact Newport City Dogs Home for more information on 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is closed on Sundays.

It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered and Diamond will be taking a little trip to the vets before she is rehomed.
