A dramatic rescue in rough seas took place off the south Pembrokeshire coast on Sunday after two walkers were cut off by the tide.
Both Tenby's RNLI lifeboats were launched at 9.20am after the walkers raised the alarm.
The pair had left Saundersfoot earlier that morning around low tide to walk to Amroth along the beach.
But as the tide came in they found themselves surrounded by water and had to climb the rocks between Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth.
The walkers, waving from the rocks, were quickly spotted by the lifeboat crews and the inshore lifeboat helmsman took the boat towards the rocks.
But it was decided that because of the south-easterly swell, it was too dangerous to attempt to get the walkers off by sea.
Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 197 from RAF St Athan was requested, and once on scene picked up the casualties one at a time and winched them to safety.
They were checked over to ensure that they did not need medical attention, and were then dropped off with Tenby Cliff Rescue Team, who returned them to where they were staying.
The lifeboats were then stood down and returned to station, arriving at 11.10am
