Block of flats evacuated after electrical fire in Newport
A BLOCK of flats in Newport were evacuated yesterday following an electrical fire.
The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) were called to Clarence Place at 6.34pm yesterday.
Crews from Duffryn, Maindee, Malpas and Cwmbran attended.
A SWFRS spokeswoman said the small electrical fire in one of the flats was accidental.
She added the fire was out on arrival and crews left the scene at 6.40pm.
