THE Caribbean came to Gwent for the day thanks to the efforts of a team of staff at a pub.
The Ruperra Arms in Bassaleg hosted a beach party in their car park which was transformed into a beach for the day. They served cocktails and Caribbean Street food and there was plenty to keep people entertained including a Jamaican steel band playing along with a bouncy castle and face painting for the children who also got to build sandcastles.
Head chef Steve White said: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you that came and supported us and to the staff who put blood sweat and tears in producing a great event.”
