A MAN has been left with a potentially life-changing injury to his eye following an attack in Newport.
In the early hours of Tuesday June 13, the 22-year-old was hit on the head with what is believed to be a blunt object, causing injuries to his eye and his head.
The assault happened in the alleyway between North Street and Jones Street in the Baneswell area of the city.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: "We would like to speak to the man who was seen walking on North Street at 3.27am as we believe he may be able to help us with our enquiries.
"If you have any information relating to the identity of this man, please contact us on 101 quoting log 38 13/06/17."
