VOLUNTEERS have given a hand with painting at a centre in the Bettws area of Newport.
Eight volunteers from the Lloyds Bank call centre in Newport went to Bettws in Bloom earlier this week to paint external doors and fire escapes.
The project aims to help all ages with educational and environmental activities by providing a centre to use as a base.
Amele Tukandra, volunteer co-ordinator for the Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations, said: “The team did a great job.
"This is something that was needed, but the project would never have been able to afford to pay for the work to be carried out.”
