THE family of Sophie Brimble, the 20-year-old woman who died in a crash in Brynmawr, have paid tribute to her, saying she will be "forever in our hearts".

The tribute reads: "Sophie Brimble/Jenkins - taken from us way to soon.
"Love you always.
"Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.
"Love Mum, Daddy Andrew, Chloe, Rhys, Nan, Aimee, Ben and Zach Xxxxxxxxx."

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any information relating to it is asked to call 101, quoting log: 13 26/07/2017.

Police have named the occupant of the vehicle as Sophie Brimble.

A WOMAN has died after a crash involving a black Volkswagen Polo in Brynmawr.

Gwent Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following serious road traffic collision that happened on King Street.

A spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on King Street, Brynmawr which occurred around 12.25am on Wednesday 26th July 2017.

"The collision involved a black Volkswagen Polo.

"One occupant of the vehicle, a 20 year old woman from Crickhowell was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Another occupant, a 24 year old man from Brynmawr was seriously injured and is presently receiving treatment at the Heath Hospital, Cardiff."

The family of the dead woman are being supported by specialist officers.

The road has now been reopened.
